My name is Alka, and my portfolio is the representation of all that I have learned in educational technology course and accomplished as a graduate student of master of education. Back in my country, I was in teaching profession. I hold a master’s degree in physics and a bachelor’s in education and now I am pursuing a Master of Education from Thompson Rivers University. I am an educator. I have a firm belief that the teacher plays a significant role in providing a safe space where students feel encouraged.

My school experience has helped me to develop a strong belief in the importance of lifelong learning. During the time of my school education, the use of educational technology was limited. However, my international student experience introduced me to the widespread integration of technology both in education and daily life. Moreover, this course introduced me with BC laws such as freedom of information and protection of privacy act and digital literacy framework. I believe technology in education helps Educators to make the class more interactive and engaging. Technology not only helps educators to do professional development through online courses but also helps them to cater to the diverse needs of learning of the students. Technology also gives educators access to online courses that might help them advance their careers. Additionally, it equips them the tools they need to meet the wide range of learning demands exhibited by their pupils.
